St. Augustine

It is Tuesday and we have already made a couple of samples. First up, a new dress the St. Augustine. It is made with Japanese cotton, navy with a white print and vintage doily bits.  It looks a little depression era prairie.
We also made a new cotton printed bag.  It has a handy outside zip pocket for your cell phone and an adjustable strap, an snap closure.  All coming your way in the next week or two.

aaaawh schucks

Look what's arrived in our shop this week! Posted on our website under accessories (kinda makes sense, no?), this little sun dress is super cute. Veronica is almost 3, she's small and the 18 to 24 month dresses fit her perfectly. She insisted on wearing them over jeans (layer 'em up girl - great for Spring) but come summer these will be the perfect cool keeping sun dress.

New Dresses

Two new dresses arrived in the Vancouver Shop on Friday! Once again we commandeered Erin to play model for us. She was obliging and cheerful, as always, and looked fantastic in both dresses.

The black v-neck dress is a soft bamboo jersey. The cross front v-neck, the wide waistband and generous aline skirt are really flattering, and the pockets are cute and practical (it's always nice to have somewhere to put your hands when you're at an art opening or chatting at the water cooler).

The brown shift dress is nice light-weight cotton, in an adorable micro polka dot bodice with batik shoulders. The dress is cut in at the waist, and has additional shapeliness built in with an elastic gathering at the back. And once again...pockets! This time hidden on the side seam.

As soon as I have more information (like names of the dresses) I will post photos and details on the website.

Good Friday..... thank goodness

Ampersand Tunic

Warrior Bag prototype

It's been a busy week around the studio, and today we came in to finish off the odds and ends.
We made two new dresses that go in production next week. The first is a cute little mod tunic that was based on a dress of Glenda's and is great on the curvy gals. It is made in a super soft stretch linen and is named the Ampersand. The second dress was designed by Nicole and is a sweet little summer frock named the Marguerite. The cotton voile has tiny polka dots and is embroidered with roses. It makes me think of long country lanes, cream cycles and kisses. We made a Warrior messenger bag in linen and heavy duty cotton lining. It has two huge pockets for all your days survival gear plus a handy clip so you don't search for your keys. It's screened in the inside with a little message for you and the outside is screened with everything bird. We finished a new screen this week especially for the Ampersand plus little compass roses to go with the new ship print. We made lots of pants, Market Dresses, Le Petite skirts and now we are going to eat lots of well deserved chocolate!
