It's that time of year again, when we start to look back on the year and feel fortunate for having such a strong following of loyal customers. Not only have you supported our business, but you've added to our enjoyment of it. And so, lovely Lily customers, we would like to do a little something extra for you...

Next Thursday, December 9th, the Vancouver shop will be staying open until 9:oo pm to host a party for you. We will be armed with Bubbly to toast you, a discount of 15% on all purchases to ease your holiday budget, and plenty of pretty packaging and velvet ribbon to take one step out of your holiday preparations by gift wrapping your purchases.

Ravishing Beasts

For the Vancouver Lily Holiday Staff Party we decided on taxidermy and dinner. A strange combo you may think, but the Ravishing Beasts exhibit at the Museum of Vancouver was not stomach turning - it was beautiful, fascinating and one of our Lily favourites... strange!

Erin, Margaret, Cathy, Ananda and I (glenda) enjoyed a delightful evening together - discussing taxidermy, walking along a moonlit beach and dining at Hapa Izakaya. I love Vancouver, and the whole Lily family. Holiday spirit is alive and well in our neck of the woods.

Holiday Decorations

This year our holiday decoration theme was parchment and black - not too glitzy I realize, but we're not really glitzy gals. Instead we put some stellar effort into creating a high impact, monochromatic display. Many German, Korean and English texts were transformed into spherical ornaments and cute garlands. Holiday Ornaments

The holiday ornaments at Smoking Lily Vancouver last year were made from vintage lamps. This one was purchased and lovingly found a new home with Jan, one of our awesome, exuberant customers.

We are having fun creating our new holiday display. This year we went for paper rather than glass, words rather than lights, monochrome rather than colour. Well pop them up in the shop soon. And after the holidays they'll be available for you to purchase and take home.
